The week after our engagement, I asked him why he wanted to wait until October and he said he didn't - I said I didn't either.

So we came up with the idea of an engagement party that our immediate family would attend, and we'd surprise them by getting married. We planned it in 1 week flat.

Less than 20 were in attendance including Allen and I - pretty much everyone was a relative - except the pastor, of course! :)
